Too funny!

We were giving the kids baths in the hotel. Ashton was in the tub & Sienna went in the bathroom & started talking to him. Next Stacey & I hear Sienna say, "Ashton, why do boys have pop-ups & girls don't?" Ashton said, "That's just how God made them." Sienna said, "Oh." And that was the end of it.

I think we almost peed our pants laughing. I guess with no brothers the subject has never come up so we've never had a discussion about what a boy's part is called.

Poor Sienna

The other day I had Paul on the phone & Sienna was telling me a story. I said to her, "Do you want to tell Daddy?" She started looking around the store all excited. I had to say, "Oh honey Daddy's not here he's on the phone." She looked so heartbroken :( I told her I was sorry if I made her think Daddy was on the phone.

I guess I need to be careful how I say things.

Ambulance Field Trip

We joined a group call Field Trip Friends. A teacher/now stay-at-home mom who grew up on the island sets up field trips on Fridays for parents with preschool aged kids. We went to learn about ambulances & emergencies last week. Sienna is feeling the O2, although with her gloves on I'm sure she's not feeling anything. Hot as it is, she recently has insisted on wearing these gloves Daddy got her for ice skating.

This is my friend & neighbor Danielle's son Tyler. We usually have weekly playdates. Sienna & Tyler get along so well together. I'm so sad they're leaving the end of April :(

Jealous Rylie

We have these galvanized buckets for some of the kids toys. When playing bowling Sienna fell & on the bucket and the handle scraped the inside of her arm. So of course I was comforting her with hugs & kisses. Out of the corner of my eye I see Rylie walk over to the bucket, lean over and swing her arm down to hit her arm on it. She then comes over fake whining & crying with her arms held up for me to pick her up. I couldn't help but laugh at the effort to get hugs & kisses too.

Dress up & veggie soup

Ry is starting to play dress-up with Sienna. I made this soup from the 17 day diet. It consists of tomato & chicken broth base, cabbage, carrots, onions, celery, okra, & chicken. To my complete surprise the kids actually ate it & liked it!!! Rylie even asked for more!

As you can see Sienna was thrilled about wearing these things to stop her thumb sucking. This was of course taken before the day she hid the scissors in her room & then cut them off.

Tea party

She always says "Shwooo" when she pours the milk.

Snow White & Grumpy

So Sienna was on the horse sitting with both legs to one side, "like princesses sit on horses." I hear her say, "I'm gonna be Snow White and Rywie you can be Grumpy."
Me: "Why is she Grumpy?"
Sienna: "Because she is always grumpy and crying."

And as most of you know that's true. She throws huge tantrums quite often.

When in bathroom I thought it was too quiet. Rylie had snuggled up on the couch & even managed to cover herself...........so cute.
